ABOUT ME!

Latjor Wuon Lat Dak is a distinguished nonprofit leader, writer, and social entrepreneur committed to advocating for education, youth, and sustainable development. Hailing from South Sudan's largest floating slum, he perceives himself as a product of grace and circumstance. Latjor's formative ten years in IDP camps during the civil political war fueled his motivation to empower young leaders in his community, with education emerging as the transformative pathway. He is CEO and Executive Director of the South Sudan Youth Leadership Scholars Network Program(SSYLNET), addressing critical issues such as limited education access and economic hardships. Engaging in international summits and conferences, he actively advocates for climate action, leadership, innovation, education, gender equality, and youth empowerment. Latjor is a driving change agent at the grassroots level, advocating for refugees, IDPs, peace, gender equality, education, and climate justice. Leveraging the power of storytelling, he engages individuals and institutions, inspiring tangible policy and systemic changes. A firm believer in the transformative power of education, Latjor envisions a world where peace, education, and dreams are not luxuries but basic human rights for every child, everywhere.
